Why Niseko?
  • Increasing interest by Australian skiers.
  • Australian investment in the Niseko area.
  • More time-efficient for short-stay travel than either Europe or North America.
  • Minimal time difference means almost no  ‘jet-lag.’
25
Niseko Ski Season
  • The ski season in northern Japan runs from mid-November through until May.
  • Niseko has excellent snow conditions from Siberian winds picking up moisture crossing the Japan Sea, falling as powder snow on the North West coast of Japan.
26
Niseko Resort Details
  • The resort area starts from an altitude close to sea-level and rises to 1200m, offering over 1000m in elevation

  • Longest run is 5.6 km, there are also half-pipes, quarter-pipes, mogul fields and tree runs
  • Mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs for skiers and boarders [30:40:30]

27
Isn’t Japan Expensive?
